Terms of Use

These terms describe the conditions for using the Mynotes Chrome extension.

1. Using Mynotes

Mynotes is a digital productivity application for saving and organizing your own web highlights, annotations, personal notes, images, PDFs, and files. You may use it only in accordance with these terms and applicable law.

Webpage highlighting, comments on highlights, page notes, webpage tags, and searching your local library are free. Mynotes Pro adds creating personal notes, adding file attachments, collecting webpage images, saving and annotating PDFs, and optional private Google Drive sync.

2. Your content and your responsibility

You are responsible for the content you save, upload, annotate, sync, or share through Mynotes. Make sure you have the rights and permissions needed to save and use that material. Mynotes does not grant you rights to third-party webpages, images, PDFs, or other content.

3. Local storage and backups

Mynotes is local-first. You are responsible for maintaining backups of content that is important to you. Optional Google Drive sync is a convenience feature, not a guaranteed archival or disaster-recovery service. Check that your library has synced successfully before relying on it on another device.

4. Optional third-party services

Google Drive sync requires Mynotes Pro or an active Pro trial and a Google account, and is subject to Google’s terms and policies. Payment processing and license management are provided through ExtensionPay and Stripe. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and policies.

5. Paid access, trials, and refunds

14-day free Pro trial

New users can start a 14-day Mynotes Pro trial from All Notes → Settings → Mynotes Pro by selecting “Start 14-day trial” and following ExtensionPay’s email instructions. The trial begins when activated through that process, not automatically when the extension is installed. It unlocks all Pro features for evaluation before purchasing.

When the trial ends without a purchase, free features remain available and your saved library remains accessible. Creating new personal notes, adding attachments, collecting webpage images, saving new PDFs, creating new PDF highlights or annotations, and Google Drive sync require a Pro license. No automatic charge or subscription starts when the trial ends.

US$9.99 Pro lifetime license

Mynotes Pro is offered for a one-time price of US$9.99, plus any applicable taxes or required charges displayed before you complete checkout. This is not a subscription: it does not renew and no recurring charge is made. A lifetime license is a personal license to use Mynotes Pro for the life of the product; it is not transferable or resalable.

Strict refund policy

Because all Pro features can be evaluated during the 14-day free trial and a license grants immediate access to digital functionality, all purchases are final after checkout. We do not provide refunds for change of mind, accidental purchases, failure to use the extension, dissatisfaction with a webpage or PDF the extension cannot support, or failure to review the product during the trial.

We will review a refund request only where (a) you were charged more than once for the same license, (b) the charge was made in error, or (c) a material technical fault prevents the licensed extension from functioning and our support team cannot resolve it. Requests must be sent to support within 7 calendar days of the charge and include the purchase email and payment reference. This policy does not limit any refund or cancellation right that cannot legally be excluded in your place of residence.

6. Changes and availability

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of Mynotes, including features that depend on Chrome, Google Drive, or other third-party platforms. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the extension useful, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every webpage, PDF, browser version, or device.

7. Disclaimer

Mynotes is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee that saved content will be complete, accurate, continuously available, or free from loss.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the developer of Mynotes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of, or inability to use, Mynotes.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent using the contact information on the Mynotes support page.
